“A documentary based on a social experiment that asks ‘can skateboarders co-exist with the public in open spaces?’

We conducted a social experiment where we built a series of portable skate obstacles and took them into public parks. While the film crew were shooting the skating, I vox-popped over 50 members of the public and asked them various questions including ‘do you think permanent skate-able sculptures would be a positive addition to the park?’ and ‘what logistics would need to be put in place to make this a viable option?’”

Skate Sculpture is a skateboarding advocacy network founded by Perth skateboarders Mat de Koning and Tim Yuen in early 2010.

Boy do I love what they are doing. Fantastic ideas,.
