Megan Washington was the lucky artist on ‘Good az Friday’ (aka Good Friday) to play Like a Version performing her own song Spanish Temper and a cover of Even When I’m Sleeping by Leonardo’s Bride. She totally killed her. Her recorded version is amazing, there is no about that, but when artists strip songs back to the utter basics that is when amazing things happen.
For those of you that don’t know what Like a Version is, it is a segment on Triple J each Friday, generally in the morning around 8am where an artist comes into the studio with there acoustic instruments and plays an original song and a cover of there choice. Recent artists include Brian Fallon from The Gaslight Anthem, Mark Ronson and the Business Intl, The Vines, Kate Nash and The Mission In Motion.
